Dr. Blazak will be presenting this workshop to the Bonneville Power Administration. The rapid pace of social change means there are a lot more opportunities to make mistakes. Many of us have asked, Why is that racist? Or, Why should my pronouns matter? Or even, Why should I be so afraid of offending anyone? It seems like it’s so easy to inflict harm on others. We have learned a great deal about trauma from veterans and this workshop takes that science and explores how other groups experience similar traumas through marginalization. We’ve also learned that people who are more comfortable being their authentic selves are more productive in the workplace. Utilizing a mindful approach, this workshop shares techniques to make equity and inclusion normalized practices instead of just buzz words. Topics include cumulative trauma, micro-aggressions, and privilege. (Private)
