Course Outline:

This second webinar on antiracism takes a look at the world of hate groups and how their ideology has become mainstream. It also explores the traumatic impact of bias crimes on marginalized communities. Finally, it explores strategies for resistance to hate and how helping people leave hate groups can be used to help people exit contemporary racist movements.

This webinar builds on the foundations of the course, Antiracist Sociology.

The four 90-minute sessions cover these topics:

Week 2 Sept 17: Bias Crimes: Racial violence and community trauma
Week 3 Sept 24: Everyday Racism: White supremacist narratives
Week 4 Oct 1: Building an Intersectional Resistance: The politics of antiracism
